Sally CharlesSally qualified with a Dip Acupuncture from Acupuncture Colleges Australia (now a faculty of the University of Technology Sydney) in 1981.
She undertook three post graduate training courses in Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medicine University, China in the 1980s and returns to China regularly to update her post graduate studies.
During her last two trips to China in 2007 & 2009 Sally studied Chinese herbal medicine in gynaecology and fertility as well as respiratory and gastrointestinal disorders.
In 1988 Sally studied in China under Doctor Zhang Ming Zhiu, Head of the Chinese Medicine section of The Neuro-Psychiatric Institute Hospital in Nanjing.  Sally further developed this information and presented seminars on psycho-spiritual disorders in Chinese medicine, in Australia, London, New York and New Zealand.  Psychological and emotional disorders have become one of Sally’s areas of great interest
After her first trip to China Sally accepted the offer to lecture and supervise the student clinic at Acupuncture Colleges Australia.  She also ran her own private practice from the college.  She was Director of Studies at Acupuncture Colleges Australia.
Sally was the Chairman of the Accreditation Committee for The Acupuncture Ethics and Standards Organisation (now AACMA) in the 1980s, which involved examining overseas applicants.
Sally also worked as a locum for a year,as well as clinic supervisor and lecturer for Felicity Moir, Principal of The London School of Acupuncture, now a faculty of Westminster University.
On returning to Australia in 1990 Sally continued to lecture and tutor at the Acupuncture College in UTS and the University of Western Sydney as well as resuming private clinical practice.
Sally has completed a Masters degree in Health Science, Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine (UTS) 2001, making herbal medicine an integral part of her practice.
She has done intermittent Talk Back Radio on 2GB.
Sally has been in successful private practice in various locations in Sydney and has worked as a locum in a number of clinics .
